Lifestyle of Greenfield

Greenfield, located in Monterey County on California’s Central Coast, was originally called Clark Colony when the settlement was founded in 1905. The current name Greenfield was chosen later to honor Edward Greenfield, one of the original settlers. It also admirably personifies the lush rural beauty of the area, where today’s residents are passionate about clean air, clean water, and acres and acres of good land.

The Greenfield community is a nurturing environment for those dealing with serious mental health issues.  Wonderful fresh produce, a beautiful setting, and an enlightened, environmentally responsible population make Greenfield a positive, reinforcing place to transition back into the community.
