About You 

We are seeking someone who is service-driven to work full or part-time as part of an amazing team of Residential Caregivers, Nurses, Rehab staff, Therapists and Psychiatrists. You will be working with adults (18-59) who are diagnosed with a chronic mental illness (ex: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD). You will need:

  • Full Vaccination against COVID-19 – CA required
  • High school diploma or GED- required
  • We compensate you for your accomplishments and talents! Other qualifications, certifications, degrees including AA, BA earns you more $$ so let us know! – preferred
  • Great attitude - required
  • Experience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferred
  • Experience passing medications - desired

 

Your Responsibilities 

Your role as a Residential Caregiver (RC) is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assist clients who are stepping down from higher levels of care into residential settings. As a RC you will help clients learn and regain independent living skills that will help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations and stabilize housing. The goal is to see clients through their individual recovery process and to celebrate graduations from treatment back to home counties, families, and friends. As a RC you will be:

  • Assisting clients maintain a regular daily schedule of activities
  • Assisting with Meal Duty by serving restaurant-style farm-to-table meals
  • Assisting with Room Care which includes encouraging and motivating clients to engage independently in maintaining clean personal living areas
  • Performing hands on organizing/cleaning when needed
  • Assisting with Laundry which includes washing client clothes and linens with the utmost competence and care with state-of-the-art washing machines that minimize staff effort
  • Assisting with Help Desk duties like orienting visitors to the residential community--including COVID-19 precaution procedures—and ensuring clients leaving the facility have a clear destination and are able to leave the facility unassisted
  • Learning therapeutic support and redirection through verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques—we are not a “hands on” facility
  • Providing behavioral Interventions like properly setting boundaries and providing redirection and support
  • Facilitating groups and outings – you can learn to facilitate groups if no prior experience
  • Helping clients safely access the community

The pay range assigned to this role is based on the geographic location from where the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
